The Billiard Room

The Billiard room is not only exquisite, it is also historically significant. In the early 1800s, Thomas Hurlbut, the paper mill magnate who built this house, played billiards with his friends in this very room. Although it may have been an excellent billiards room, it makes an even better guest room. With its radiantly sunlit atmosphere, enjoyable sitting area, and mahogany pencil post canopy bed, you can forget about your worries and simply relax. What better way to unwind than standing in your private outside entrance, gazing upon the sweeping sights of the luscious, green landscape of the Berkshires.

The Rose Room

Just like a perfect romantic hideaway, the Rose Room is tucked away neatly and peacefully undisturbed in a corner of the Federal House. Its rose theme and white iron queen bed easily adds to the feel of romance. Of course, just like any true romantic hideaway, there is a Franklin Stove gas fireplace to keep you cozy in the night. Wide pine floors and a built-in wardrobe stay true to the historical ambience of this home, and combine with the rose theme to create a romantic getaway in time.
