Now lovingly restored after hurricane Isabel's visit in September of 2003 the Lazyjack Inn has begun another 150 years watching over the waters of historic Dogwood Harbor and the remaining fleet of Skipjacks. As our guests you will be able to experience the history of the Chesapeake.

The Lazyjack Inn now offers a wonderful mix of the old and the new, from 1800's ceiling beams to complimentary DSL wireless access. Nestled between the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and the magnificent Choptank River, Tilghman Island is situated on the tip of the Bay Hundred Peninsula of what is now Talbot County, Maryland. Vacationing on this Chesapeake Bay Island is nothing new. In the 1800's, when this waterman's home was built, visitors arrived by steamboat to enjoy the laid back life and the local seafood. The Tilghman Island packing house flourished, and the waters were filled with fishing, oyster, and crabbing boats.

The quaint village of Tilghman Island still offers a close look at the Chespeake history in action... catching the bounty of the Bay. Only three miles long and 1 1/2 miles wide, water abounds and so do your choices of how to best enjoy it. A few delightful shops, four waterfront restaurants, a unique café and bakery, and a variety of lodging choices.
