Welcome to the Jacob Rohrbach Inn Bed & Breakfast, a Sharpsburg landmark since 1804. This award winning Bed & Breakfast Inn at Antietam Battlefield is brimming with historic charm and gracious hospitality. While best known for the Battle of Antietam, Sharpsburg also borders the C&O Canal National Park. Harpers Ferry is just 12 scenic miles from Sharpsburg down the old "John Brown" Road and there are many fine restaurants and inviting shops in the area. Within an hour's drive, scenic country roads lead you to Gettysburg, Berkeley Springs, Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah National Park.
Providing the charm and comfort of a Bed & Breakfast with the privacy of a hotel our four largest rooms have individual outside entrances and porches for your enjoyment. All rooms have private en-suite bathrooms, cable TV, Wi-Fi and are comfortably air conditioned. Each room is beautifully furnished in antiques and reproductions. Comfortable beds with soft satin sheets and down comforters are yours to snuggle in. Your stay includes Joanne's bountiful multi-course breakfast each day. Our own gardens supply not only flowers for the table, but also much of our herbs and produce, including strawberries and peaches in season.

Please note that in the event that your plans change, cancellation must be received 7 days in advance of your scheduled day of arrival or you will be charged for one night's stay if the room does not rebook. If you cancel your reservation less than 24 hours in advance, or do not arrive for your reservation as scheduled, you are subject to charge for the entire stay booked. Cancellations MUST be made by telephone conversation with the Innkeepers, answering machine messages and emails are not acceptable. A service charge of $25 per room will be made for all cancellations. |

This was the best B&B that we every selected. Actually our friends selected it. Joanna and Paul were excellent hosts and well informed. The breakfast was superior! I rate it 10 stars! We had a great time and the suite was well equipped, with flowers also, a nice touch. The DVD was informative also and the HD TV was great! Joanna and Paul made sure that our visit was comfortable and enjoyable. We recommend that everyone stays away from the Anvil House Restaruant in Harpers Ferry. The waitress (Heather) was obnoxious, disrespectful, and arrogant. Perhaps she is new to the field of customer service, but she was guaranteed a 18% gratuity (6 of us) and did nothing to earn it. We will never eat there again and warn our friends. We just picked the wrong restaurant. Nothing to do with the B & B.

Innkeepers very friendly and knowledgeable about area. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay there again and probably bring our parents.
