The award-winning Brampton Bed & Breakfast Inn is located just outside of historic Chestertown on Maryland's Eastern Shore and offers visitors a glimpse into the past. What better way to complement your visit to the Chesapeake Bay region than to surround yourself with the 19th century decor of our Greek Revival Plantation House. Built in 1860, Brampton is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
You can swing on the comfy porch swings and enjoy a cool breeze while sipping ice tea or lemonade. From this quiet spot observe the flight and hear the songs of Brampton's numerous birds. Swallows, gold finches, cardinals, hummingbirds, herons, egrets, Canada geese, wood ducks, woodpeckers, owls, blue birds, Baltimore orioles, and many other birds have been spotted on this property.
Brampton Inn has twelve luxurious and romantic rooms and suites with private baths and fireplaces. All rooms are spacious and well-appointed with beautiful yet comfortable period furnishings. The light-filled rooms all enjoy a park-like view of the landscaped grounds surrounding Brampton. Guests enjoy a full country breakfast with individual service at nineteenth century tables. Afternoon tea is also served in Brampton's formal dining room each day from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Experience antebellum elegance in this 19 x 21 foot dining room with its 12 foot high ceiling, Waterford chandelier, fireplace, and large walnut windows and doors. Enjoy early morning tea and coffee, evening cookies and maybe a chat with a fellow guest in this comfortable and informal common room. For your convenience, there is a TV and VCR with videos. (Sorry, no cable TV.) We also provide board games in the library for rainy days.

Cancellation Policy:

To cancel or re-schedule your reservation, regardless of the reason, we need to hear from you no later than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. For holidays and special events we need to hear from you no later than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
Should you need to cancel or change your reservation less than 14 days (30 days for holidays and special events) prior to your scheduled arrival date we shall make every effort to re-rent your room.
However, there are no refunds if we can not find another party to take your room for the full length of your reservation. Sorry, no exceptions.
A processing fee of $39 per room applies to all cancellations and changes.
