the Great Room
Find comfort and old fashioned relaxation at Chez Amis. Since each guest room has a private TV, the French country styled common area is designed for reading, conversation, and playing many games of your choice. Bananagrams and scrabble seem to be our guests’ favorite. Refreshments and homemade cookies are available throughout your stay so we understand if you ‘sneak downstairs’ for just one last cookie. The dining area is a wonderful piece of carpentry that was built by the previous inn owner. It comfortably fits our guests but we also offer supplemental seating if you choose a more intimate table.

The Dining Area
Our three course breakfast is served at 9 am, or earlier, if you are attending the infamous Naval Academy church services. Breakfast starts with locally brewed City Dock coffee, and Elly's signature Amish Friendship bread or sunrise muffins served with her homemade lemon curd. A fruit dish follows featuring local produce from the Sunday farmer's market held at City Dock. Entrees vary depending on sweet or savory day! A typical savory dish is an asparagus and goat cheese frittata. A typical sweet morning features peach and crème cheese strata. Bacon, sausage, or turkey alternates supplement the entrée. Breakfast is served in local Annapolis pottery and mugs which the inn sells in the gift shop.

Lady Anne Suite
Located on the ground floor, this expansive suite is large enough to accommodate up to 3 guests with a king size bed and an ottoman that can fold out to a twin sleeper for a third person. It's also intimate for just two to enjoy morning coffee. Surrounded with scenes from ‘across the pond’ in honor of England’s Lady Anne of Arundell, beloved wife of Cecil Calvert, second Baron of Baltimore. It has been said, ‘her intellect was legend, and her love of the arts strong'. Private bath and easy access to the living room are just a few of the amenities of our more elegant room. Connect with our free WiFi or watch TV and enjoy a DVD movie in-room if the weather keeps you away from the local attractions.

The Law Library
Overlooking Fleet Street is the warmly decorated Law Library with its private bath and flat screen TV and DVD player by the exposed brick chimney and warm barn board wainscot…some of Annapolis most famous Georgian mansions were habituated by famous lawyers like William Paca and Chase-Lloyd; we think they would love the decor as look above and about the room and you’ll see law books that go back years, just the way a legal study would be found. Added are some whimsical law caricatures and Rockwell freedom prints. A quiet place to read or enjoy a movie from our extensive DVD and library downstairs.

The State House Room
This room speaks for itself as its corner window overlooks a view up East Street and the State House dome. The State House is the oldest state capitol in continuous legislative use, and its wooden dome is the largest built without nails; this view is replicated in a painting by the window which is a true treasure. The room has a king size bed with in suite bathroom. A sizeable flat screen TV and DVD player and WiFi are available for your use.

The Annapolis Room
This 2nd floor room is our most economical but is a splendid hideaway to enjoy the time in Annapolis. Overlooking East Street and also with free WiFi and a flat screen TV and DVD player. Nautical and historical themes run deep in Annapolis and so will your stay in our Annapolis Room. We expect you to be well informed of Annapolis history as the Charter of 1708 is displayed over your night stand! It also features a wonderful print of the Bay Bridge over the bed by a local featured artist. White Waffle Weave Robes for two and your private bath with claw-foot tub are just across hall.
