We have stayed at the Evergreen Gate twice over the past few years. It is certainly one of the best B&B in Manitoba. Laurel and Rob and very friendly and gracious hosts and Rob's breakfast is fantastic. The themed rooms are very comfortable and the environment very relaxing. The grounds are spectactular and not to be missed. We will definitely stay again at the Evergreen Gate on our next visit... Dave & Alison Bennett

we had the pleasure of staying at Evergreen Gate B&B in August, 2010 for a Family Wedding. Laurel and Rob were great hosts. We enjoyed ourselves and were able to have a very relaxed visit with our family. We stayed 2 nights. The atmospehre was relaxed. Laurel and Rob were very helpful with the Wedding set up. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfasts were really good. I would recommend this B&B. It is the perfect setting for a small wedding.

Staying at Evergreen Gate was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Winnipeg. Upon driving up to the house we were greeted by a tranquil setting-bright flowerbeds set amidst a lush green lawn. Our bedroom was very comfortable and well appointed. Rob and Laurel were gracious and knowledgeable hosts giving us a background on Winnipeg as well as ideas of what to see and do in the area. (Be sure and ask them about the Maple Tree Restaurant.) Sitting at the breakfast table each morning was a delight-the food was delicious and the company of Rob, Laurel and other guests made for an enjoyable and informative start to the day. We highly recommend this B&B and hope to get up to Winnipeg for a return visit!!

I highly recommend Evergreen Gates to all scrapbookers who want a get-away to work on projects and be totally spoilt at the same time. Me and my friends had a wonderful weekend scrapbooking. The food was delicious, the beds very comfortable, the outdoor hottub a treat and lots of attention to detail like bathrobes, access to a large selection of DVDs, wine with our pizza, and a chocolate fondue upon arrival. A very nice place to stay.

Great location on the Red River, close to the town of Selkirk MB and Lower Fort Garry, a National Historic Site. Our hosts, the Sarginsons, were really nice people who made us feel right at home. They have a lovely home and they ensure that you have everything you need. They provide info on things to do and see and restaurant info. The breakfasts were excellent - not run of the mill. We certainly recommend Evergreen Gate to anyone who wiil be visiting the area.
