Each of the 14 guest rooms at the Newcastle Inn in Newcastle, ME is named for a historic Maine lighthouse. Each guest room has fluffy robes, hair dryer, luxurious bath amenities, and beds triple sheeted with high quality linens. There is complimentary WiFi throughout the inn and a guest pantry is available 24 hours a day where you will find coffee, tea, cold drinks, snacks and the never-empty-cookie jar!
Centrally located in MidCoast Maine, Newcastle Inn is the perfect "home base" for your day trips to Monhegan Island, Boothbay Harbor, Rockland, Camden or to Freeport for a little shopping at L.L. Bean! After a busy day you return to the tranquility and calm Newcastle Inn where you rejuvenate yourself in preparation for the next day!
The Newcastle Inn is happy to have two rooms that are "dog friendly". Your dog is welcome in your room and outside on a leash. In consideration of other guests, dogs are not allowed in other areas of the inn. Please call to inquire about bringing your dog to the Newcastle Inn. While you are at the inn, we encourage you to relax in the common areas which include a three season porch with gas stove, living room with gas fireplace, parlor or weather permitting, outside on the deck. In the evening, after a day spent exploring, you can enjoy the charms of our own little pub. A selection of wines and Maine micro-brewed beers is available. |

Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please let us know if you will be arriving after 8:00 p.m., so we can make late arrival arrangements. |

Cancellation Policy: |
A small inn such as ours is dearly affected by cancellations, and while we are sympathetic to emergencies, we appreciate your understanding of our cancellation policy. We will cancel your reservations, and your deposit will be refunded, less a $25 handling charge, if we are notified 14 days in advance. A 21 day notice is required for reservations from August 1 - 31.
If you cancel with less notice than defined above, you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation unless we are able to re-rent the room for the exact same dates as your reservation. Please note that a late arrival, after the first date specified, or an early departure prior to the end of your reservation are handled as cancellations and you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation, unless changes are made within the cancellation period defined above. |

The inn is best suited for children 16 and older. Bass Harbor Suite can accommodate three guests. There is a fee of $40.00/day for the third guest. Children under the age of 16 must share room with adult. High chairs, cribs, roll away cots are not available/provided. |

Deposit Policy: |
A deposit of one night stay is required for reservations of one or two nights. For stays of three or more nights, a deposit of 50% is required to hold your reservation. MasterCard, Visa and American Express are accepted for deposits and stays.
The deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time the reservation is made. All rates are for two people. Maine state lodging tax will be added to each stay. |
Pets Welcome |
Select rooms are dog friendly. There is an additional $35/day dog fee. Limit of one dog per room, maximum weight 50 lbs. A Dog left alone in the room must be in a crate - no exceptions. |
