It was an amazing experience. The accomodations were luxurious, the surroundings were beautiful, the food was wonderful, and the hospitality was great!

I could not have been happier with the Inn or it's Innkeepers. A truly great experience. Can't wait to return.

We planed to stay for three days, but stayed for nine and made friends for lifetime! It was our first time venturing to Maine to snowmobile and only by luck did Karen and I find the best place to stay in Maine. Rick and Debbie are both ambassadors to the sport of snowmobiling and their lodge is built to support the sport in no way I've seen anywhere else in Maine or any other state. The basement with its wood stove is great place to store the riding gear and to warm quickly after a long ride. Though there isn't a bad room in the lodge, each with breathtaking views of Mt Katahdin, we were graced with the finest room available. Every aspect of the room from the bed to the bathroom was perfect. Each day after a fantastic breakfast in the kitchen, Rick would recommend a loop or a destination and know what we would expect for trail conditions along the way. With gas available right at the lodge, there was no need to travel into the more popular areas which always tend to get bumpy to fill up. After three days, we planned to leave the lodge and travel further northeast in Maine. Rick went out of his way to tell us where we should ride, what we should see and even assisted in helping us make lodging reservations. In the process of packing up to move on, I looked around our room and had a feeling like I was leaving home and leaving friends. I asked my wife how she would feel if we spent a few more days at the lodge and as you can imagine it took no more than asking the question and we were spending the entire week with Debbie and Rick. We had a wonderful week at the lodge and with Debbie and Rick. Karen and I both agree that this vacation was in the top five of all time for us. We are already planning to visit this summer and we've told Debbie and Rick to reserve our room for a week next February.

We had the distinction and honor of being the very first guests at 5 Lakes Lodge when we found Rick & Debbie's wonderful place in July of 2004. Their beautiful, brand new lodge is literally surrounded by water and the view across the lake to the distant mountains is breathtaking! The rooms and appointments are outstanding - we are certain that organizations like AAA will give them their highest 4 diamond rating. No details were overlooked for the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. Rick and Debbie go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and at home.We plan to return for the snowmobile season next February since they are open year round. You are in for a real treat when you visit 5 Lakes Lodge!
