In a true English Country House, breakfast was an event and we try to make it special at the English Meadows as well. Our breakfast menus are strongly influenced by our time spent living abroad where we developed a respect for quality ingredients, learned the value of the right setting for a meal, and the fun of creatively combining the best of in season produce with traditional recipes.

Mayfair Room
The Mayfair is on the second floor of the Victorian main house and occupies the five window “turret”. This is the brightest room in the Inn as the morning sunlight floods the room and is a wonderful place to have a morning coffee and read the paper. The queen bed, matching wing chairs and period mahogony dresser, make this a very popular room. Rate ranges from $140 - $175 depending on season.

Mayfair Room

Cornwall Room
Located on the second floor of the carriage house overlooking the meadow, the Cornwall has a queen “cannonball” bed, a gas fireplace and a very large shower bathroom. A subtle striped wall covering and oriental carpet combine with mahogany end tables and a dresser with an antique shaving mirror to set an elegant tone. Rate ranges from $150 - $190 by season.

Bingley Room
The Bingley, located at the rear of the carriage house first floor faces the rear stand of lilacs and the meadow. The Bingley has a spacious and bright feel with south and west facing windows. It has a separate dressing area with a lovely wicker vanity and mirror, a large closet and Victorian toile wallpaper leading to a large, bright shower bathroom. Rate ranges from $130 -165 by season.

Tack Room
The Tack Room started life as the carriage house storeroom for the saddles and harnesses. Now its a spacious first floor suite with a separate dressing/sitting area, a queen brass bed, gas fireplace, oriental rugs, two large wing chairs and a whirlpool tub and shower in the bath. The nine windows and ceiling fan in the bedroom make it perfect for Maine summer evenings. Rate $150- $210 by season.

Tack Room

Carriage House Suite (continued)
The floor plan consists of a living room with cable TV/DVD, a kitchenette, a bathroom with shower and whirlpool, and a balcony. A gas fireplace completes the romantic hideaway feeling. Many guests like to take the suite for extended stays. This complete suite offers luxurious comfortable surroundings for guests looking for something out of the ordinary. Rate $180 - $285 by season.
