We provide a special lodging experience with great hospitality for you and your family (including children!!). At the Captain Briggs House B & B, we treat you like family.
We are located on a quiet side street, just three blocks from L.L. Bean and within easy walking distance to shopping, dining, and hotel convention centers. The Captain Briggs House is a beautifully restored 1853 shipbuilder's home, and the rooms are comfortable, bright and cheerful. All rooms have private baths and are air-conditioned, non-smoking and dog friendly. For your convenience we have a small refrigerator in the common room and free wireless Internet throughout the Inn. We'll start your day out right with a hearty full breakfast - at no extra charge.
Your Freeport experience offers many attractions: Fine Shops and Restaurants; Wolf's Neck State Park; Audubon Sanctuary & Trails; L.L. Bean's Outdoor Discovery Programs (Clay Target Shooting, Canoe & Kayak Lessons, Fly Fishing School); the Desert of Maine; Golf and Other Sporting Activities. Or spend a day visiting lighthouses and museums or hiking trails in coastal parks. Scenic cruises offer fine opportunities to see Maine's coastline and wildlife. Be entertained by live theater, Thursday - Sunday evenings, at the Freeport Factory Stage.

Our guests enjoy a delicious breakfast, served daily between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. Upon request you can be served an earlier breakfast. Also, with advance notice, we can usually accommodate special dietary needs.

Check-out: 11 a.m.(You may use our parking lot until 3 p.m., when another guests may be arriving. If you need a late check-out, we'll try to accommodate you. Please realize that it is important to have sufficient time to prepare your room for future guests.) |
Cancellation Policy: |
If you find you must cancel your reservation with us, we will need to know one week (7 days) in advance of your arrival date. We will do our best to rebook your room. If, however, we are unable to rebook your room, you will be charged one night's room rate. No shows will be charged the entire stay. We do not 'overbook' rooms; when you have a confirmed reservation with us, your room is held for you personally, thus we must charge for the room if you fail to arrive as scheduled. Please consider travel insurance if your plans are uncertain.
