I contacted The Brewster Inn on a very late and snowy night. Mark immediately returned my phone call and said he could offer me a room even though it was after hours. As soon as I arrived I realized that I was the lucky one to have stumbled upon this PERFECT Inn! My husband and I chose the honeymoon suite and almost made an entire weekend out of it because it was so lovely. We honestly did not want to leave and we can not wait to return! I rate The Brewster Inn a 20 out of 10!

The Brewster Inn is a beautiful historic home. The decor and attention to detail are amazing. My wife and I have restored homes from 1845 to 1870 and were just amazed at the beauty of this home. In our experience century old homes can have idiosyncrasies that can be bit annoying like waiting for five minutes for hot water to reach your room or old doors that don't close properly or drafty windows. This can be quite a long list but Mark (your host) has done a fantastic job of bringing the Brewster Inn into the 21st century without sacrificing the charm of 19-century architecture and craftsmanship. Mark Stephens is the owner and your gracious host. Mark instantly makes you feel like you are staying with friends. He is very knowledgeable of the area if you are interested in exploring. He is also quite a cook. We enjoyed his version of French Toast and a cheesy, sausage casserole he made for us for breakfast that was an amazing start to a chilly winter morning. Don't hesitate to give Mark a call and ask about the Brewster Inn. The nightly rates are very affordable as well. The only regret we had was we missed the beauty of the gardens because we stayed over in early March. We will be back for sure.

This was a wonderful stay with Mark- the whole place was sparkly clean without being sterile- lots of great and interesting things on the walls. Our room, the Honeymoon Suite, was enormous and as comfortable as any room can ever be! Soft bed, facilities that worked perfectly, and don't even get me started on the host! Mark has suggestions of things to do for literally anyone, with any tastes. Call him a month in advance so he can give you ideas of what to do on your stay, so you can book your other reservations like moose safaris and massages in plenty of time! The bed was very soft and had a heated blanket, the room was nice and warm, Mark's breakfasts are PHENOMENAL, and the peace and quiet you'd expect from a small town is absolute. The bell tolling in town reaches the ears of the Inn, and we looked forward to hearing it every time. Stay here, you will not regret it.

We loved our stay with Mark at the Brewster Inn. He is excellent at providing service to make your stay the best it can be. Be sure to ask questions so he can help find you the best day trip for your interests and provide you with dining recommendations while you are out and about. His breakfasts are superb! Loved the history of the Inn and hearing all the renovations completed and planned.

This inn may be in a small town but it is friendly and easy to get around. Mark has made this historic inn a pleasure to stay in. The Game Room was large and very comfortable. The breakfasts were very good, always a hot breakfast, Mark is a wonderful cook. The inn itself was very beautiful with it's gardens, great and beautiful interior, it is close to many towns and villages, which we took advantage of several times. Thanks Mark for a wonderful stay.

My wife and I stayed in the Truman Room, which was lovely and very comfortable. We will definitely return in the future. Breakfast was excellent, and we met several new friends there. The gardens are beautiful and lovingly cared for. A surprisingly gorgeous place to stay. Many thanks to our wonderful British host and innkeeper Mark Stephens.

My family and I stayed here when we visited friends. Mark put us in the Game Room. We enjoyed looking at all the books and playing chess. The king size bed was comfortable and my daughter loved sleeping in the 3/4 bed in the alcove. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was refreshing with plenty of water pressure. The inn is charming and well kept. The garden is beautiful. When we arrived at the Inn we felt welcomed. We enjoyed talking to Mark and the other guests at breakfast. We are looking forward to returning to the Brewster Inn.

Response
Thank you Claudia. I think I have 3 chess tables throughout the Inn inc in the Game room. Plenty of opportunity for chess players to sharpen their skills whilst staying here. Books are also good, and there are plenty around the inn, whether fiction, nonfiction, history or interests, something for everyone. The garden developments carry on at a swift pace. The patio is being rebuilt right now and should be complete in the next few days. Then itís time to get the awning back up and the patio furniture out so guests can enjoy the peace that that space offers. Thank you for your comments on the inn and the cleanliness of the rooms. I like to aim high with what I do here for my guests. I look forward to seeing you all again in the future.
