Was greeted at the door when we arrived and was warmly welcome. Great accommodations, beautiful historical building. Mark even went out of his way to provide breakfast prior to the regular serving so we could make it in time for the sled dog races. Can't say enough about the Brewster Inn. It was a great experience and highly recommend the Brewster Inn.

I'm very happy you enjoyed your stay here at the Brewster Inn. It has come on a long way in the last 6 years and I'm really pleased that you liked it. There's lots of great history here . Hope to see you again soon, dog sledding or not.
From t and d inman. We have a long history with brewster inn. My sister in law was married here and then in 1998 our daughter was married here. We have stayed at the brewster over the years but our recent stay in January was especially pleasent. Mark has done a beautiful job restoring the place. Because we were visiting family and friends we didnt have as much time to just stay put and enjoy our room. We cant wait to see the completion of your next projects Mark.

This is one of the best things about what I do. Guests that come back again and again over time and see all the changes on each visit. The Inn has come on a long way in the 6 years I’ve been here both inside and out. I’ve still got little projects to do that will just keep those guests coming back
The innkeeper, Mark Stephens went at great length to make us feel comfortable. He provided us with valuable advice on which trips to make in the surrounding countryside.Brewster Inn is very strategic located for the exploration of the magnificent surroundings and adjacent national parks.

Thank you for your kind words. I do try to make sure I do everything possible so that my guests will have a very enjoyable stay at the Brewster Inn. I know where all the good places are to visit in this part of Maine and that’s important whether it be National or State Parks, Spas, restaurants or the cheapest gas in the area
The Brewster Inn is in a great location right in the centre of Maine. The whole State is easily accessible from here with Dexter just being 20min from I95. I get a lot of Canadian guests who stay here going from Ontario or Quebec into New Brunswick or Nova Scotia (or vice versa) as well as guests going north and south on I95. It’s also ideally positioned for guests that want to take Rt 2 into New Hampshire and Vermont.
I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again in the future.
What a great surprise awaited us in Dexter at the Brewster Inn. Mark was a great B&B host, wonderfull British wit and charm, his home (former Governors Mansion) is impecable and breakfast was one of our best after three weeks of B&B's across the North East. will definitely stay there again on our way from the Ottawa Valley to Nova Scotia.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at the Brewster Inn. The Inn has a lot of history and is a very comfortable place to be. I personally make sure that all the guest rooms are ready for my guests when they arrive to make sure everything is just right. I get a lot of good comments on my breakfasts and am always very pleased to be asked for recipes. I look forward to seeing you again in the future

Thank you!! I’m passionate about what I do here, always trying to make the Brewster Inn the best it can be. The Inn has come on a long way in the 6 years I’ve been here. Returning guests always see new things happening whether in the inn itself or in the gardens that continues to be developed. There’s still plenty to do to keep the inn getting better and better again, and I’ll always strive to make it the best I possibly can
In Dexter ME visiting the Historical Society, Brewster Inn was conveniently located and the price was good- sounded like an interesting place too. Its a wonderful old building and the owners have put a lot of effort into renovation and upgrade, which happily doesn't detract from the character of the place.
For instance my bed was super comfortable, tv & cable are modern, but the old fashioned fixtures in the bathrooms were all in good order- new beds & tv's are easy enough but making an old fashioned bathroom look good and work well is much tougher- clearly a lot of work has gone into both the plumbing and the aesthetics. The grounds are lovely, lots of settings for an outdoor wedding for instance. The gardens are coming along, but blooming prettily while I was there. Kids will love the staircases and hallways all over.
The owners were friendly and easy to get hold of, my stay was most relaxing. Would definitely stay there again, its not far from the coast & a very pretty part of ME.

I have tried to combine the modern with the old here at the Brewster Inn. Modern amenities for guests but not losing any of the historic character throughout the Inn. I have this rule, if not good enough for me, it’s not good enough for my guests and so everything I consider for guests, gets tested by me first whether it’s the bedding, TV’s or even the pretty amazing water pressure in the showers. The gardens look amazing now and there are so many peaceful areas for guests to relax and have a great time. Hope to see you again in the future
We travelled through Maine to New Hampshire from Nova Scotia for a 3 day motorcycle run. We stopped at the Brewster Inn on a recommendation from a friend. The host was courteous, hospitable and very accomodating. The room (Games Room) we stayed in accomodated the 4 of us very well. I would certainly recommend the Brewster Inn to anyone travelling through Maine. Very picturesque countryside. Loved it!

The Game room is an amazing room, original wood paneling, fireplace, big room, king bed. A great room for families. Close to I95, it gives my guests passing through the state a great place to relax and enjoy their stay here. Thank you for coming to stay
A real jewel in an otherwise dull town. I traveled on my one through New Engeland and The Brewster Inn at Dexter was a real pleasure. If you like to go Baxter State Park, Moosehead Lake, visit Stephen King's house in Bangor or just want to shop? The Brewster Inn is a great base. Mark and his wife are very helpfull and see to your every need. The rooms are charming but with a feel of all the comforts (even free DVD's for a rainy night). Breakfast is very tastfull and plenty (with very flexible hours). It is the best price - quality ratio I have encountered on my trip.
The innkeepers Mark and Judith went out of their way to be sure our stay was great. Mark was helpful with recommendation for accomodations as we traveled and was sure to communicate local points of interest and places to find good food. Stay at the Brewster Inn...you will not be disappointed.
The owners were available, welcoming and helpful. The room was perfect-far better value and less money than many hotel rooms I looked at-and the breakfast was great. The owner made it clear that if we weren't happy with anything that he would love to make it right. We didn't get to test this as everything was perfect. The room and amenities were more than I expected, and the price was less than I would've paid.
