This romantic Bar Harbor Bed and Breakfast is perfectly located just a short stroll from Bar Harbor’s Main Street and only a mile from magnificent Acadia National Park.

Built in 1878, the historic Primrose Inn is decorated in a light Victorian style that encourages guests to relax and enjoy their time away. Guests will enjoy the comfortable elegance of spacious rooms, each with a private bathroom, high ceilings, and carefully appointed with selected antiques and period reproductions. Many rooms feature gas fireplaces, spa tubs, adjoining reading and sitting rooms as well as private balconies and porches.

The Primrose Inn has been enhanced with today’s most requested guest amenities such as luxurious linen and towels, flat-panel televisions with built-in DVD players in each room, central air conditioning, wireless internet access throughout the inn, guest refreshments at no additional cost, and a daily newspaper delivered each room.

Cancellation Policy:
More than 14 days from arrival: The Advance Deposit will be refunded in full. Less than 14 days from arrival: Due to our short season and limited number of rooms, cancellations made with less than 14 days notice will forfeit the Advance Deposit if we are unable to re-rent your room for the entire period. Trip Interruption Insurance: For protection of your Advance Deposit, you may want to purchase Trip Interruption Insurance. An internet site we have heard about is www.InsureMyTrip.com.
Children: Not Suitable For Children
Please note that all of our rooms have one queen-size or king-size bed and can only accommodate a total of two guests per room (adults or children). Also, guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent in a room.

Deposit Policy:
An Advanced Deposit equal to 50% of the room charge (plus a 7% Maine Lodging tax) for the length of stay is required to confirm a reservation. One night stays require an Advance Deposit equal to 100% of the charges to be confirmed.
No Pets Allowed
Unfortunately, because of allergies of some of our guests, we cannot accommodate pets in the inn. If you are traveling with your pet, we recommend contacting Acadia Woods Kennel to provide care. They can also be contacted at 207-288-9766.

For the health and safety of Primrose Inn guests and staff, the inn, porches and balconies are completely smoke-free. If a guest chooses to disregard this policy we will charge the guest’s credit card $200 to pay for the necessary cleaning.
