The Green House Inn is a small historic bed & breakfast inn & guesthouse, located in a beautiful setting between downtown & uptown New Orleans. Built in 1840 as a New Orleans Greek Revival side hall townhouse, the Inn has comfortable, intimate guestrooms with deluxe amenities; each is named after a tropical flower. The grounds are a tropical paradise, including a unique "tree shaped", therapeutic salt-water swimming pool, with waterfalls, fiber optic lighting, and an over sized Jacuzzi ™-styled hot tub that overflows into the pool. It has the feeling of Key West.
The Green House Inn is centrally located. It is in the Lower Garden District, written up as the hippest place in America to live, and adjacent to the Warehouse/Arts District. The Lower Garden District is a national historic district, where all the buildings are protected by the Historic District Landmarks Commission. It also was rated the 11th best neighborhood in the country to live, by the Project for Public Spaces in 2004. The French Quarter is only 12 walkable blocks away. We are the closest b & b to the New Orleans Convention Center (The Ernest M. Morial Convention Center). For non Holidays/Special Events our cancellation policy is that if a reservation is cancelled 15 days or more from the date of arrival, the deposit minus a $25 cancellation fee is refunded to the guest. If the reservation is cancelled 14 days or fewer before the arrival date, the deposit is forfeited.
