Located on the last 6.5 acres of a 400 acre land grant from Virginia Governor Patrick Henry in the late 1700s, Pinecrest Cottage Bed & Breakfast is unique in that it is a separate, well appointed guest house, affording guests complete privacy in the heart of Louisville, Kentucky. Because the cottage is only 7 minuets from the Louisville International Airport, it serves as the best lodging choice for business travelers. There is also internet hookup, a fax machine, and separate phone line to handle all your business needs.
Surrounded by 100 year old trees, carefully tended perennial beds and with the ambience of a French Country Estate, Pinecrest Cottage offers you a place that feels like home the moment you walk in, with all the comforts and none of the demands. Before you even enter the cottage, you will be charmed by the dozen or so perennial flower gardens and the fish-inhabited ponds found on the grounds. Pinecrest has even been certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat. Your hosts are avid gardeners and active community volunteers. Nancy is on the Board of The Louisville Orchestra and involved in music throughout the community. Allan is an entrepreneur, active Rotarian and both he and Nancy are active in their church. |

Pinecrest is a wonderful place to stay. The cottage was rented out, so Nancy gave me the upstairs floor of her main house. The house is absolutely gorgeous. When you walk in the door, there is a staircase to your left, and upstairs there are two bedrooms. I took the bedroom with the cute little twin beds. The bathroom is large, and there is a separate little room/den with cable television and couches. There is also free wireless internet. My only regret is that I didn't get to stay longer. Nancy and her husband were so very nice and accommodating, and I had plenty of privacy. She made herself available to me if I needed her, and she's very easy to talk to, but other than that, she left me to my privacy and made me feel completely at home. The next morning, she was up bright and early with me with the specific cereal and coffee I had requested. I highly recommend the stay here if you are looking for a place that feels comfortable and safe. A home away from home. I wasn't able to look at the cabin, but I'm sure it's just as great.
