The rear part of the property overlooks the Elkhorn Creek, the longest creek in the United States. Off the back of the house is a 1,000-foot veranda featuring herringbone brickwork overlooking a 20-acre horse farm.

Blackridge Hall B&B is surrounded by horse farms and is just an eight-minute drive from the Kentucky Horse Park and 20 minutes from Keeneland, Lexington and Rupp Arena. For the antique shopper, there's Midway-a community known for its antique shops--as well as numerous quaint antique shops in Georgetown. Nearby are the Outlet Mall at I-75, and the Toyota Motor Co., which offers tours of its Camry/Avalon making plant.

Nine-foot ceilings and tray ceilings are among the other details in the house, which features hardwood floors, extensive moldings, floor to ceiling windows and cabinetry work done in Pennsylvania cherry wood. Brass fixtures complete the look in the bathrooms.
