Welcome to the Circle S Ranch & Country Inn located in Lawrence, MO, under an hour's drive from Kansas City. The history of the inn started years ago and is now part of the local landscape. We are happy to have you as our guest to share a part of Midwest heritage with us.

The inn was built to look like an old Kansas barn, complete with lean to and silo. During 2008 the Circle S Ranch went through some great additions. The entry now has an outdoor fenced patio leading to a new front entry just off of the Great Room. The old entrance is now a larger conference room with an outside entrance, and entry into the Inn. In the Great Room a new bar area has been added to the east side. These changes make Circle S Ranch the perfect choice for memorable Missouri weddings, romantic getaways, business retreats and fun family vacations.

Just a short drive south is downtown Lawrence and numerous attractions such as Kansas City theatre and museums, outdoor sporting activities and indoor sporting events, the Kansas International Speedway, and much more.

We had my daughter's reception at Circle S and rented the entire Inn so immediate family on both sides could stay the night, all 36 of us. From the moment we saw the place we were hooked. It is in such a peaceful, beautiful setting. I wish we had booked it for the entire weekend instead of 1 night. Mary and her staff were wonderful as we planned the reception. The food was excellent, thank you Jack. The reception was so fun the DJ and the bartender stayed longer than planned. The rooms were wonderful with a few minor issues, which can be expected with a group as large as ours. Breakfast was great, we hated to leave. It was so much more than I expected. It was a memory of a lifetime and I can't wait to go back.

I have stayed at Circle S Ranch on several occassions. The suites are extremely comfortable, romantic, relaxing, with big jacuzzi tubs, big beds (with the coziest sheets on earth), and walk-in private showers. The lesser priced rooms are just as comfortable (I've stayed in both). Mary Beth and her helpers are attentive when needed, and out of the way when not needed. (Mary Beth is WONDERFUL!). The food, especially the morning fare, is great and with all the windows looking out onto the pastures, and the buffalo, and the birds and the little creeks, a sunny morning for breakfast there can be a once in a lifetime joy. Evenings out on the deck, too, sipping ice tea, watching a nice Kansas sunset, and hearing the quiet country sounds have left memories that will take me back there again. Soon, I hope!

My husband and I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts in KS and MO but Circle S was the best we have seen. Mary Stevenson is wonderful and the food and decor should be in House Beautiful magazine.
