This was a great stay away from home! The place is located in an older historic district in/near downtown. My event was held at the Convention Center which was only about a 20 minute walk. Deb was superfriendly--called some local sites to see what their hours were, talked lovingly of her family and this house (which has been in the family since the 30s), and was very helpful with accommodating my weird schedule. Place is great with subtle niceties like snacks, book and video library, and more, all of which included in the price. I got the grand tour around the house one day after other guests had checked out and really dug the other rooms--kitchens built in, more space than the pictures show, and plenty comfy. For an older house, it's pretty quiet--couldn't hear other guests' conversations or flushes through the walls. Lastly, don't be wary of "deluxe continental." The breakfast was plenty, varied and fresh--just self-serve. For less than a decent hotel stay, get a bigger space with nice folks next time you're in Indy! -D#

Nice house, good localization. I would have expected more for breakfast. Penthouse is ok, but cold and humid.

Response
Thank you for your comment regarding your stay at The Harney House Inn. We truly appreciate all types of comments as a means to better serve our guests. Although our records show that we did not have guests staying in the Penthouse on 8-11, we would like to let potential guests know that as our website states, we provide a deluxe continental breakfast as opposed to a full breakfast. Thank you again for your feedback.
