Standing high atop a bluff overlooking Petersburg, Illinois and the Sangamon River Valley, The Oaks Bed & Breakfast Inn is an elegant and romantic 19th century Victorian mansion situated on five and one half park-like acres, adorned with magnificent stands of oak trees and delightful gardens.
We offer a memorable nights' lodging, a full gourmet breakfast, and an afternoon repast such as tea and cookies, or wine and cheese.
All of our rooms feature private baths and are equipped with plush towels and robes, down blankets, Caswell Massey personal care products, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards. Guest rooms are air conditioned and furnished with period antiques. For your added convenience we offer complimentary wireless high speed internet.
In the Butler’s Pantry you will find a microwave, popcorn, ice and a mini fridge stocked with soft drinks. Early morning coffee can be found in the Butler’s Pantry as well. Guests are invited to use the common areas during their stay. In the Library you will find books, games and movies to enjoy during your stay.
Enjoy afternoon wine and cheese available in our dining room from 4pm - 6pm A full gourmet candlelit breakfast is served from 8am - 10am.
Our overnight guests can also enjoy a romantic candlelit seven course dinner in our elegant dining room. Dinner is served table de hote, and advanced reservations are required. Picnic lunches are also available upon request. |
