Enjoy your night’s stay in a beautiful 1876 "Eastlake" Victorian Bed and Breakfast located in Historic Petersburg, Illinois, near Lincoln's New Salem, and all of the Illinois Lincoln sites.

This large frame house stands at the top of what is known as "Brahm's Hill", and is located where once stood the home of Dr. and Mrs. John Allen, friends of Abraham Lincoln, who moved to Petersburg from New Salem. A two-storied square pillared porch extends to the roofline. Behind the imposing facade lie an equally imposing series of rooms.

This house boasts seven marble fireplaces, four downstairs and three in upstairs bedrooms plus a magnificent wood sculptured fireplace in the main entry hallway. The house has been updated with central air and an elevator to assist our guests to the 2nd floor bedrooms. "WHY STAY AT A HOTEL WHEN YOU CAN ENJOY THE COMFORTS OF A FINE BED AND BREAKFAST!"

Normal check in is 3 PM to 7 PM. Please let us know if you need to arrive later.
Check Out Policy:
Check out time is 11 AM.
Cancellation Policy:
Deposits are refunded if cancellation is made at least 5 days prior to the scheduled visit. Full house reservations must be cancelled at least 24 days in advance or a minimum of 50% of the total fee will be with-held.
Children: Children ages 8+
Children are welcomed ages 8+. Please inquire about appropriate lodging, and remember there are other quests in the house and also numerous antiques.

Children must be under the care of their parents at all times.
Deposit Policy:
Rooms are reserved by using a credit card. If using a check for the deposit we must have the check sent a minimum of 12 days in advance equal to at least one nights charge.

We have a medium size dog on the property. She is either outside in her pen or in the host's quarters.

No smoking in the house or bedrooms. Smoking is permitted on the front lower porch.
