The Irish Inn is a stone and log chalet in Ozark, Illinois full of mementos from lives of international travel on six continents. It is a place where your imagination can take flight; where a new chapter of your life can begin; and a place where memories are made. Guests can choose from two spacious king suites that offer the ultimate experience in romance, rest and relaxation. Romantic couples will enjoy other amenities such as private baths, whirlpool tub, bedet, satellite TV, wireless internet, and full gourmet breakfasts.

The Irish Inn sits near the intersection of Johnson, Williamson, and Saline counties in the Shawnee National Forest. We are surrounded by the most beautiful and unusual wilderness areas in the state and some not-to-miss entertainment options like the Tunnel Hill State Trail for bicyclists. You can elope to The Irish Inn or plan your dream wedding here. A Christian (Protestant) minister, Native American, Humanist, or judicial official will be arranged to perform your ceremony in one of the magnificent nature areas nearby or in the great room of The Irish Inn.

We welcome those having small family reunions, anniversaries, honeymoons, and all couples seeking relaxing romantic weekends. Children, families, and pets are welcome here, and babysitting or pet sitting can be arranged in advance (extra fees apply). We have a kennel available for your dog, and there are lovely walks for you to take with your pet.

Transportation or rental cars can be arranged for guests arriving by Amtrak (Carbondale), air (Marion), or by BART (St. Louis to Marion). The Irish Inn is an Amtrak rail tourism partner. We value regular visitors, and hope you will make The Irish Inn your home away from home on holidays, special occasions, or just any time you are in Southern Illinois!

We dare you to finish our full Irish breakfast or brunch served when you want it each morning. Some people call our special Irish sausages 'bangers,' and they meet a country ham steak, pork chops, bacon (Irish and/or American), two, three, or more eggs, sauteed mushrooms, and fried tomatoes on your breakfast plate. Add special breads, jams, juices, coffee, and morning Irish tea (strong breakfast tea with cream and sugar), and you have a hearty start to the day! Fruit plates, vegetarian, and other special breakfasts are available when requested when you make reservations. We can say with confidence that neither saint nor sinner has ever left our table hungry!

Policies
Check In Policy:
We try to be as flexible as possible at The Irish Inn. A 2:00 PM check-in is recommended, but not carved in stone. If you arrive early, enjoy a cup of Irish tea while your rooms are being tidied.
Check Out Policy:
Sure there's no hurry to leave The Irish Inn. When God made time he made plenty of it!
Cancellation Policy:
In emergency situations, we will reschedule your visit once.
Children: Children Welcome
All well-supervised children are welcome at The Irish Inn with notification at time of reservation -- additional fees may apply. A sofa/bed is located in the Tipperary Tower suite (along with the two California king beds) to accommodate families up to six.
Childcare: Yes
Baby-sitting can be arranged with at least two weeks advance notice -- additional fees apply.
Deposit Policy:
All reservations at The Irish Inn must be prepaid before being confirmed. We accept all major credit cards via PayPal or your personal check mailed to The Irish Inn - P.O. Box #97 - Ozark, IL 62972-0097.
Pets Welcome
We love animals at The Irish Inn, but please let us know about pets visiting with you when you make reservations. Pet-sitting services and kennels are available -- additional fees apply.
Pets Living At Inn: Yes
Our resident black lab, Augustus Caesar (affectionately known as just "Gus"), and three cats, Seamus Chasemouseky, Tabby Tiger, and Cleopatrick live at The Irish Inn. They do not come into the guest areas (unless you really need them!).
Smoking: Outside
Guests may smoke outdoors where waste disposal is provided. If you are thinking about giving up cigarette smoking, consider a week at The Irish Inn to really make the commitment!
