In October 2002, Karl and Dorothee Gossel bought the house with the interest of welcoming visitors to the area and preserving a piece of Macomb's history. Dorothee operated a Bed & Breakfast in Germany on the islans Fehmarn in the Baltic Sea. The logo of the Inselhaus shows the map of the island Fehmarn.
The Inselhaus Bed & Breakfast offers facilities for small conferences, business & club meetings, family reunions, weddings and receptions. Three meeting rooms are available on the first floor, or you may reserve the whole Inselhaus at one time. You may do this during the week or as a weekend retreat. You may choose one or more of the following packages for your perfect Getaway. The Inselhaus wants to make sure that your days in Macomb are pleasant.
Macomb is the home of Western Illinois University. The town has wonderful parks, a historic downtown square where you may stroll through shops, or you may play on one of the many great golf courses. |
