My husband and I stayed at the Stillman because of the high reviews we read online, and they were completely true! It was extremely clean, the rooms and inn were elegant, yet tasteful, the food was good, and all of the extra little perks were great--snacks and drinks whenever you want them, movies, a porch swing, free wireless internet that we used to plan our days each morning, a mini-fridge in our room and a perfect location. Dave and Bernadine are wonderful hosts and so helpful and welcoming--they also allowed us to have as much privacy or time to ourselves as we wanted, which was really nice. We can't wait to go back!

Dave and Bernadine are wonderful hosts. You can tell that they love sharing their beautiful B&B with their guests. We have stayed in many lovely B&B's mainly in New England and theirs is definitely one of the best! The breakfast's were wonderful and all the extra touches to detail from decorating the rooms to snacks like cookies and milk etc. to providing small bags of ice for your cooler for the trip home, make this an extra special place that welcomes you from the minute you walk in. Dave even provided us with the name of the Elite Pet Sitting nearby so we could leave our new English Setter and not worry about leaving her at home. This is truly going beyond the "call of duty". There seems no request too large that they cannot fulfill. The town of Galena is truly 1 of the top 10 prettiest towns in America, according to Forbes Traveler. We will definitely be going back to stay at the historic, beautiful Bernadine's Stillman Inn!! People like Dave and Bernadine truly make the world a better place!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Bernadine's Stillman Inn during a romantic winter excursion to Galena. The house and the room were lovely, the breakfast was excellent, and the innkeepers were great hosts! We also enjoyed the extra perks such as complimentary pie, cookies, and ice cream, and the movie library. Highly recommended.

Dave and Bernadine made our second trip to the Stillman Inn another great experience even after our car broke down. They did everything and more to help us out, including arranging transportation for us and finding us a trustworthy shop. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts, but the service and family atmosphere at the Stillman Inn beats them all hands down! Not to mention a beautiful house, and one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. We will continue to make this our home away from home in Galena!

The mansion was beautiful. Its location could not be beat, it was well within walking distance of the area parks and shopping. Dave, the owner, was very hospitable and knowledgable of the area.

My wife and I just celebrated our 5th anniversary by getting away for the weekend at Bernadine's Stillman Inn. We could not have had a better time! Dave & Bernadine are literally the perfect hosts. They make you feel like your at a home from the moment you get there. Whatever you could possibly ask for they can deliver. They are an amazing couple. We also became friends with some of the other guests. We all had so much fun this weekend that some of us have already booked our rooms again for next year! I can't say enough good things about Bernadine's Stillman Inn. Whether your a regular bed and breakfast visitor or it's your first time, Bernadine's Stillman Inn is the place to go!

What a wonderful first experience in staying at a B&B. We couldn't have found a better place. It was everything we were looking for. We felt welcome from the moment we called to make reservations until the time that we said good-bye. The mansion was beautifully decorated and the room had everything that we needed. The breakfasts were outstanding. The never ending chocolate chip cookies and ice cream bars were an extra bonus.

The service, food, detail and hospitality of Bernadine and Dave are amazing! We wouldnt have esked for more, and in fact they completely blew our expectations out of the water! I cant recommend them enough, they made you feel so comfortable & like family. Everything is wonderful, from the rooms, breakfast, just everything. Highly recommended!

We really didnt know what to expect this being our first BnB stay. But from the minute Dave welcomed us in we could not have been happier. The personal service was fantastic, and food was awesome. Dave and Bernadine really make you fell righ at home. Unlimited supply of pecan pie, cookies, fresh fruits, liquid refreshments, and ice cream bars, what more could you ask for. We are already planning our next trip. And dont forget to try the blueberry love cakes for breakfast.

We visited the Stillman Inn to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We wanted a quite getaway in the same town where we had spent our wedding night in 1983. The Stillman Inn was the perfect location. We found it to be very peaceful and romantic. The innkeepers not only provided a great breakfast and place to sleep, but were very helpful in making dinner reservations for us and giving advice on things to do in Galena. We will definitely return.

This was our first time to Galena, and our son's friends had recommended highly that we stay here. We were not disappointed! Dave and Bernadine made us feel welcomed, loved, just like we were special family. Their recommendations for what to see and do and where to eat for the short duration of our visit were all great. The added touches, especially ice cream and cookies we could sneak late at night, made for a fun and memorable time. Breakfast was generous and delicious. My fiance and I had an amazing and romantic stay at the Stillman Inn. Dave's friendliness and hospitality MADE the trip to Galena the most perfect place for my fiance to propose to me. The breakfast was GREAT, the rooms were clean, and the walk to downtown Galena was gorgeous. Excellent inn, professionally run.
I Booked the inn as a surprise for my wife.
She thought we would be staying in a motel near Galena Il.
I was equally as surprised. Dave And Bernadine provided us
with a weekend to remember. We were so impressed that we
reserved two additional nights in September to celebrate
our second wedding anniversary at Bernadine's Stillman Inn.

It was a beautiful mansion set near the downtown area. The rooms were clean & nicely decorated, the food was very good, there were alot of extras, and Dave & Bernadine Anderson were very friendly & helpful hosts. I would recommend this Bed & Breakfast highly to anyone visiting Galena. We were there for an anniversary weekend and had a wonderful time!

The honeymoon suite was the most romantic room we have ever stayed in. The entire atmosphere of the inn is a welcome escape from daily life.Highly reccomended.
