The House of Two Urns caters to professionals, educators and artists, who are visiting or working in the city. Located 2.5 miles NW of the Loop and 6 miles NW from McCormick Place, 2 miles west of the north part of Mag Mile (North Michigan Avenue) we are within walking distance from many delightful restaurants, bars, coffeehouses, galleries, music venues and unique shops in the Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods.

A charming brick, two-flat decorated with antiques, original art and family heirlooms. The House of Two Urns offers the conveniences and comforts of home while you are in Chicago and has earned its name from a recurring motif in its stained glass and rooftop decorations. The building was originally built as a storefront bakery by L. Novy & Son, architects, in 1912 with the B&B located in what was the original owner, Polish baker, Zygmunt Jablonawski and his family's apartment on the second floor and is a traditional Victorian layout for a Chicago apartment at the turn of the 20th century.

We are located just minutes from downtown in the southeast corner of Wicker Park 1.5 blocks from bus, subway, cab stand and Kennedy (I-90) Expressway and are celebrating our 11th year this year.
We are inspected and approved by Illinois Bed and Breakfast Association and members of the Professional Association of Innkeepers, Illinois Hotel Lodging Association and the American Hotel Lodging Association.
A lovely deck is available to enjoy an urban rooftop view and a lovely side garden allows a quiet respite for guests among flowers, fruit trees and berries.
A common-use kitchen is available with complimentary teas, coffee or sodas. Garden fresh fruits grace the expanded continental breakfast of freshly baked breads; homemade jams and marmalades; orange juice; coffee or tea.

Guests from around the world have enjoyed the hospitality of the artist/host, who is very knowledgeable about the arts in Chicago, sightseeing and cultural events and who can make your trip a very enjoyable and memorable one. English, German, Spanish and limited French are all spoken here. The House of Two Urns offers the conveniences and comforts of home while you are in Chicago.

Full Breakfast constists of a buffet table with breads, cereals, yogurt and bananas; a hot plate special is served daily with a side of breakfast meat. Blue Plate specials are "Chef's Choice". If you have any dietary allergies or restrictions, please inform us preferably at the time of booking or at check-in. Apartment rentals do not include breakfast.

Check in is by appointment or between 7 and 7:30 pm.
Check Out Policy:
Noon daily.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made by noon, one week prior to arrival to obtain a full refund. After this time one night is non-refundable and the balance is refundable only for the nights we are able to re-book. No shows receive no refunds.
Children: Children Welcome
Children of any age are welcome in our Wicker Park unit or the Studio Suite and we offer a crib for your convenience. Children older than 10 are also welcome in the la Chambres Des Amis - 2 bedroom unit.
