Log Spirit is an award-winning, magnificent log lodge nestled in 20 picture-perfect acres between Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint in the town of Athol. Surrounded by beautiful forests and mountains, it's a quiet place to relax, yet close to a wide variety of year-round activities. The area abounds with pristine rivers and lakes ideal for fishing, boating, cruising, and kayaking. Log Spirit's idyllic setting and location also make it the perfect base from which to explore the entire area, including opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding, skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, and much more. Other popular attractions include art galleries and museums, theatre and festivals, and shopping and dining in both nearby cities. You can explore brew pubs and wineries, quilt shops, and even such famous names as Coldwater Creek and Litehouse.
Come enjoy multi-course gourmet breakfasts that you won't forget, spacious, relaxing rooms (all with private baths and some with hot tubs and other amenities), and appreciate the warm country hospitality at every turn. For vacations, getaways, weddings, anniversaries, reunions, or any other special time, we invite you to share our spirit.

Pets within reason are allowed in guest rooms for a nightly fee of $25 each; there is also a boarding kennel close by. |
Pets Living At Inn:
Yes |
We have a cat, who is not allowed in guest rooms, and we are happy to sequester him if necessary for guests with serious pet allergies. Except for the library, the lodge is carpet-free, virtually eliminating the accumulation of dander. |
Smoking:

We are in a rural, wooded setting, where fire danger is a serious concern, so smoking is limited to specific areas outside the lodge where ash trays are provided. |

My Husband and I spent Valentines Day night at the Log Spirit Inn. We checked in, chatted with the Inn Keeper who showed us around the inn, and got settled in our room. We left for an early dinner at a nearby restaurant and when we returned to the Log Spirit, we enjoyed a romantic comedy movie on DVD in their comfy library. After the movie, we enjoyed an hour (or two) in the hot tub on the private deck outside our room. It was a beautiful evening in a quiet country setting. Inside the room, we found the decor to be homey and inviting. There was a cozy sitting area, refrigerator, and our own private restroom with shower & bath. We also found the bed to be very comfortable, and the fireplace made for a warm, romantic evening.
The next morning we were served breakfast at a reasonable hour. The food not only tasted great, it was like artwork! Robin is quite the cook. She and Lou are also wonderful hosts, seeing to it that we were comfortable and that our every need was met. Thank you Robin and Lou, we will be back!

We visited Log Spirit to escape our busy work schedules and find time to relax. The scenic views and pristine setting put us immediately at ease. The private hot tub on the deck allowed us to enjoy the gorgeous pine-filled views in a relaxing setting. Our room was rather chilly, but we enjoyed the log architecture and rustic decor. The gourmet breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the home-crafted items available for purchase. Overall we enjoyed the serenity of our stay and found Log Spirit provided the respite we desired.

Robin and Lew are outstanding hosts and have a beautiful B&B. The lodge is immaculate and very cozy, the food is fantastic, and I would definitely stay there next time I'm in north Idaho. If you are coming to the area and need a place to stay that's near Silverwood, Athol, or Bayview, you can't beat Log Spirit.

My husband and I took our two little daughters here for a winter vacation. We can not say enough good things about Log Spirit. It was our second visit and just as perfect as the first nearly 4 years ago. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food delicious, the scenary breathtaking, and we were made to feel like old friends. This bed and breakfast is in such a beautiful relaxing setting.
