The state of Idaho is all about the outdoors, and there are a number of incredible state parks that are worth visiting! Amateur paleontologists will enjoy exploring the world's richest known fossil deposits from the Pliocene era at Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument. Or check out Craters of the Moon National Monument, which offers a wide array of volcanic features and unique plant and animal life. Other great parks include City of Rocks National Reserve, Minidoka Internment National Monument, Nez Perce National Historic Park, Ponderosa State Park, and Bear Lake State Park.
