My husband & I spent 3 days/3 nights in June 2013 in this magical, romantic piece of paradise. The owners, Laura & Rick are the friendliest & most gracious hosts. Rick is very happy in the kitchen cooking up one tasty dish after another. Laura & her sister Fran are two of the nicest Southern Belles I have ever met. True ladies, they aim to make their guests feel like family. Laura works diligently to remove any stress from booking your stay at the Veranda. Every morning it was a delight to start the day with a 4 course breakfast! I must say Rick's peach cobbler was delicious. It reminded me of my grandmother's cobbler. Conversation at the table was interesting & flowed so naturally. We are fans of the tv show, The Walking Dead. There were other fans staying at the B&B so we could all share info, stories, etc... The most fun was the laughter & easy conversation everyone shared with Laura & Fran after people finished eating. Laura & Fran had plenty of info for all of us as we set about the days adventures This little town serves as the backdrop of the fictitious town of Woodbury in the famous tv show, The Walking Dead. After finding this special, serene place, we understand why Hollywood chooses to film here. The countryside, the historic homes and the friendly, well mannered people combine to make this place very special! We spent the evenings sitting on the veranda talking with Fran, Laura the other guests. I really enjoyed talking with Austin, Rick & Laura's grandson. He is going to be a senior when high school starts back in session. Austin plays the guitar and has a deep appreciation & love for music! I liked the porch swing & the sweet fragrance of the different varieties of flowers as they caught in the evening air. To think of the history surrounding this home. Margaret Mitchell once interviewed civil war vets who once lived in this home for her novel, Gone with the Wind! We were in room 3 (a king size mattress) that was very comfortable & a modern bathroom! Laurie Holden who plays Andrea on Walking Dead once stayed in the same room. Laurie Holden's father was the great actor, Glen Corbett who co-starred in a few movies with my hero, John Wayne (Chisum & Big Jake, etc...) 6 degrees of separation on this tiny little world in a little piece of paradise called The Veranda Bed & Breakfast, Senoia, Georgia.

This was our fourth stay at the Veranda and it is always an amazing experience. The inn keepers are incredibly nice and the food is great. We stayed for their Valentine's Day Special this time and the food was amazing. When we got back from dinner they had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting in our room. It was very romantic and relaxing.
