Our distinguished Inn is conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, TN. Many of our guests enjoy making a day out of visiting some of the many Chattanooga area attractions. Shopping is abundant in Chattanooga whether it is at the unique Warehouse Row, several antique shops or Hamilton Place Mall, you are sure to find some keep sakes. Golf anyone? There are several nearby golf courses. After a long day we would be happy to recommend the perfect restaurant or spa.

Chanticleer Inn Main House
At just over 1,800 feet above sea level, the Chanticleer Inn sits with distinction high atop Lookout Mountain on a beautiful plateau that borders Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. The mountain offers plenty of wonderfully romantic views of Chattanooga valley and surrounding areas. Our family owned and operated Inn is conveniently located directly across the street from the famous Rock City Gardens where visitors can see seven states. We are also mere minutes from Ruby Falls, Incline Railway and Point Park. For the adventurous, there are numerous local nature trails and historical parks for hiking and biking.

Chanticleer Inn Main Living Area
Originally constructed with local mountain stone in the 1930s, Chanticleer Inn looks the same on the outside but is very different on the inside today. Our 17 rooms within the Inn and the surrounding 5 buildings were completely renovated and remodeled in 2002. The Innkeepers, Rob & Audrey Hart, will greet you with a friendly smile and serve you a wonderful full hot breakfast.

Our bountiful breakfast is served each morning in our bright and cheerful Dining room, Sun Room, or outside on our lovely mountain stone patio. Take in the beautiful views of the gardens or sit back and watch the many species of birds that call The Chanticleer Inn home. Enjoy an array of fresh fruits, cereals, sweet breads and cakes prepared daily. If you have a heartier appetite, we offer a selection of hot entrées that change daily. These include Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, Assorted Frittatas, Belgian Waffles with home-made caramel maple syrup, or Kielbasa Casserole. Whether you are heading out to conquer one of the many hiking trails or taking in the sights of nearby Chattanooga our breakfast is sure to add a delightful start to your day. Casual and comfortable, these rooms are perfect for any occasion or adjoin them for a family style suite. Both rooms have new standard tub and shower - Room 1 also has a desk.

Room #3
Decorated with simple antiques these rooms are ideal for couples, in-town friends, or business travelers. Room 3 has a large steam shower, rooms 4 & 5 have tub and shower, and room 6 has a new bath w/ a large whirlpool tub & shower.

Room #9
This is the original Carriage House. Rooms 7 & 8 are small, cozy, and quaint with traditional tub and shower. Room 9 is large with a ceiling fan, desk, electric fireplace, seating area, new bath with shower, and a semi-private stone patio with rocking chairs.

Room #15
Room #14 has a large steam shower and sitting area. Room #15 has a Large Whirpool tub with a gas log fireplace and sitting area.
