The St. Francis Inn Bed and Breakfast is unique in its location -- right in the heart of the oldest part of the city. The narrow brick paved streets offer charming restaurants, museums, galleries, antique shops, historic sites and a variety of shopping experiences... within easy walking distance. St. Augustine, located on Florida's Atlantic coast, is a rich cultural center, with special events held in the old city throughout the year.
You can ride a trolley or take a horse and buggy ride at the bayfront. St. Augustine's seaside Florida location makes all types of water activities readily available, including harbor cruises, fishing trips, and boat rentals. Visit popular family attractions, such as Potter's Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe It or Not, the Alligator Farm, the Castillo de San Marco, and many others.

Festivals fill the calendar year-round, many celebrating historic events or offering reenactments. Enjoy arts and craft fairs, seafood festivals, colonial celebrations, chowder debates, native American ceremonies, and torchlight parades. And from November through January, St. Augustine sparkles with white lights, celebrating "Nights of Lights" through the holiday season.

Antique filled rooms and suites, balconies, fireplaces, kitchenettes, whirlpool tubs, swimming pool, walk to everything, walled courtyard, parking.

Policies Go To Top
Check In Policy:
Check-in is anytime between 3:00pm and 10:00pm. If you are going to be later than 9:00pm, please let us know. We can arrange for a late check-in.
Check Out Policy:
Check-out by 12:00 pm
Cancellation Policy:
Because we are a small lodging facility, we have a strict cancellation policy, which is very similar to most Bed and Breakfasts. It is our intent to be fair to our guests, but also to operate in a business like manner: If you cancel at least 7 days prior to your arrival date, there is a $50 cancellation fee which can be applied (for up to one year) to your next reservation. If you cancel less than 7 days prior to your arrival date (14 days for holidays and special events), we will provide you with a Gift Certificate (good for one year) for an amount equal to the first night's lodging tariff.
Children:
Please call us for the selection of family-friendly rooms that we offer. Our Cottage is ideal for a family, but we also have several rooms which can accommodate parents and children. We do not offer cribs or rollaway beds.
Childcare: No
Deposit Policy:
A deposit of one night's tariff is required to guarantee a reservation.
Pets Welcome
The St Francis Inn accepts small well-mannered pets on a limited basis in certain rooms/suites by advance reservations only under the following conditions: When reservation is made, guest must disclose their pet will also be visiting. At check-in, guests with a pet will need to sign our "Guest Pet Responsibility" agreement which guarantees and authorizes credit card payment for any damage caused by their pet. We charge a nightly pet fee of $15. This fee covers the additional time and effort needed to clean the guest accommodation after a pet visit. A "small pet" is a cat or dog which is easily held/carried by the guest, a maximum of 40 lbs. Pets may not be allowed during certain holidays, weekends, or special event periods; please check ahead for availability. Pets must be under owner's control and should not disturb other guests (barking, non-friendly manner, etc.). Since pets are not allowed in our "common areas" such as the lobby, sitting room, dining room, only certain rooms with direct access are available to accommodate guests with small pets. Daily housekeeping may be interrupted if a pet is in the room alone and not crated. Concerned about your Allergies? Not to worry! Most of our rooms are kept "pet free"... Only a select few rooms are ever allowed to house pets. All our rooms are non-smoking.
Pets Living At Inn: Yes
Zeke adopted the Inn as his home and guests have enjoyed his laid-back style ever since! He is a large gray cat and visits the courtyard in the mornings for petting and sunning. Afternoons you can often find him in the parking lot sunning himself on a log.
Smoking: Outside
Smoking is not permitted in any building. There are numerous protected and attractive outside areas where smoking is allowed.

We stayed for a total of four nights two nights in each of two rooms. The change was effortless and smooth. We have stayed at the St. Francis two to three times a year for about 10 years and this time was just as good as each time before! The staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming! The accommadations are extremely clean and comfortable. The food - well - what can I say - Gary's creations are supurb!! The value amenities included are beyond what you would normally expect and definately more then you would get if staying in a hotel. We love the St. Francis because of all the things above, but also because of it's location. It is on the quiet end of the historic district but still close enough to everything to walk to. Thank you for a wonderful time as always!!!

We love visiting St. Augustine and the staff and Joe, the innkeeper were very friendly and helpful. We picked up several ideas while visiting to implement into our own B&B, Trinity Hills Farm.
