Built in 1903, Coquina Wharf Bed & Breakfast in New Smyrna Beach, FL welcomes you with Southern hospitality in a historic setting. It is located on the Intracoastal Waterway at the site of the Old Stone Wharf. The wharf was built in the 1700's and marked the end of the King's Road. This site was the scene of a Civil War engagement in 1862.

As you enter the main house, past the traditional white rocking chairs and beautiful flowers on the porch you are welcomed by an inviting living room which is unusual in its L-shape curving around the original fireplace. The 17-foot sofa artfully frames an intimate seating area, ideal for cozy chats and refreshments. Heart of pine floors and ten-foot ceilings add to the grandeur of the house while the family antiques and comfortable furnishings make you feel right at home.

The sun room, off the living room, faces out to the waterway with beautiful views. Numerous plants and the lace curtains give a sunny airy effect and invite you to cozy up with a book, a cold drink and maybe the house cat, Sable. There is a stereo with a large CD collection for the use of guests during their stay.

The grounds feature a 128ft dock for fishing or crabbing, grouper as large as 35 pounds have been caught from the fishing hole in front of Coquina Wharf. Guests with boats may dock at no charge. We have 3-4 feet of water at low tide. The grounds on the water's edge are perfect for sunning. Dolphins put on a daily show and the manatees come bobbing along by the dock.
