We are approximately 18 miles east of the city of Jacksonville, Florida. Whether you want to sunbath, swim, or simply go for a walk, Pelican Path puts you on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches.
Whether you are looking for that 10+ pound bass for your wall or if you just want to catch a couple of catfish for dinner, the Jacksonville area offers unbelievable freshwater fishing. It truly is a fisherman's dream. Catch a marlin, kingfish, or any number of species in one of the many available charter or party fishing boats that prowl the coast off Jacksonville.
The PGA Tour picked the Jacksonville Area as the location for its headquarters. This should be an indication of the quality golfing available in the area. The oldest plantation still in existence in Florida is located on Heckscher drive just north of the Mayport ferry. Now a National Park Service historic site, the location includes the plantation house, which has ranger guided programs. One of the premier NFL football teams (best in our opinion), is located in Jacksonville. Tickets are scarce but not impossible to find.
The location of Pelican Path offers visitors a combination of the wonderful serenity of the beach coupled with many local attractions. The beaches offer a variety of fine restaurants, some within walking distance. Shell hunting, reading, bird watching, and biking are among the popular activities at Jacksonville Beach. It's a great beach place w/ beautiful views. The access to the beach along w/ gratis bike and towel provision is a nice bonus.
