The private residence turned bed & breakfast, Lanthrop Manor Bed & Breakfast in Norwich, Connecticut, since 1744 is a beautiful example of a center hall Colonial with seven fireplaces. Each of the Manor's guest rooms is named in honor of three centuries of previous residents. Our rooms offer king sized beds with fine linens, blended with period wall coverings, wide board flooring and hand carved 18th century chestnut beams, and working fireplaces. All rooms feature a private bath appointed with oversized Egyptian cotton bath sheets, personal robes and designer bath products.

Lathrop Manor is nestled in the heart of the Norwichtown Historic District and only minutes from downtown Norwich, the Mystic Seaport, the Connecticut wine trail, Slater Museum, part of the Connecticut Art Trail and the casinos. Lathrop Manor is situated on two acres of lush greens, gardens and old growth trees, encompassed by 18th century New England stonewalls and slate sidewalks. Bordered by the 15 acres of conservation land known as Lowthorpe Meadows, the Manor is a place where tranquility and nature come together with luxury and relaxing surroundings to provide the ultimate getaway.

Check In Policy:
Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Please make arrangements for late arrivals. Please notify us if you should be delayed while in transit so that we may make arrangements to greet you.
Check Out Policy:
Check-out is 11:00 A.M. We appreciate you working with us to allow us time to ready the Manor for new arrivals.
Cancellation Policy:
We will be happy to refund your deposit in full for cancellations up to ten days before your expected arrival. However due to the intimate size of Lathrop Manor, cancellations received within ten days of your arrival may not be refundable.
Children: Not Suitable For Children
Due to the intimate size of the Manor, we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 18.
Deposit Policy:
We require a one night deposit for all stays and 100.00 for each additional night. Deposits are charged to the credit or debit card provided at the time of reservation. A check is acceptable if we receive it at least ten days in advance of your arrival.
No Pets Allowed
We are unable to accommodate other pets out of respect for our other guests who may have allergies. If you are traveling with your pet we will be happy to help you obtain accommodations at the nearby pet resort.
Smoking: No
Lathrop Manor is a smoke free environment. Smoking is welcome in a designated area outside. We ask that you dispense of all smoking materials in the provided containers. Smoking in any room will result in additional charges for full cleaning including drapes, linens and upholstered furnishings.
