Ideally located in the heart of Branford, Connecticut the Thimble View Bed & Breakfast is in a perfect location for romantic couples, families, and business travelers to take advantage of a of myriad local sports and cultural activities as well as to provide easy access to all that Connecticut, New York City and Boston have to offer. Equipped with first class amenities to provide a comfortable getaway, the bed and breakfast includes a 42" HD plasma TV and wireless internet. Two of the three bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds; the third has two twin beds which may be joined to make a king. The den has a single daybed.
The house faces south with a 180-degree view overlooking the Thimble Islands and beyond to the 18 miles across Long Island Sound. The large bluestone terrace and second floor deck are ideal locations for enjoying this magnificent natural setting. The breakwater pier does not have railings, therefore the setting is not recommended for those with children age 6 or under. The house is located in a small scenic village within the town of Branford called Stony Creek, one of the most popular residential communities on the CT Shoreline 12 miles east of New Haven. Stony Creek was developed by the quarry workers who came to work in the famous granite quarries that give the town its name. Today the informal character of the village is derived from the broad range of housing from very small homes to mansions. |
