We stayed at the Thimble Island B&B in early April 2012. Julie and Tony gave us a most thoughtful and warmhearted welcome at their house, which has spacious rooms that are tastefully decorated. A panoramic water view with some of the Thimble Islands, while enjoying breakfast, is priceless! Multitalented Tony is also a gourmet chef, and he created an omelet with caramelized onion, shiitake mushroom and Gorgonzola, which is the house special in their breakfast menu that no one should miss. We nature lovers enjoyed an easy walking trail nearby, watching several osprey couples nesting on top of the poles provided by the town people. While on our morning walks, a light brown owl surprised us flying across our way. It was a pleasant surprise. Tony also gave us a wonderful idea to see the “Branford pear trees” which were fully blossomed this time of year, and we enjoyed the charming town of Branford with the gorgeous white flowering pear trees.

Julie & Tony warmly welcomed us upon our arrival. The atmosphere was relaxed and serene as the B&B is located adjacent to the water and includes a view of some of the Thimble Islands. We enjoyed a warm tea cake and hot beverage shortly after our arrival.They also served wine and cheese before our departure for dinner!The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The quiet surroundings provided us with a great stay. Breakfast was superb and we will certainly consider a return visit in the future!!
