You will enter the 4 1/2 acre property on a drive that takes you through the orchard to the Inn, a large, farmhouse-style home with four guest rooms and six quaint country cabins, which we prefer to call cottages. Each of the guest rooms and cottages is uniquely trimmed with exquisite hardwoods and features elegant country furnishings. Each cottage has a covered porch with rockers and swings, and four cottages have private patios.

The Apple Orchard Inn is conveniently located 8 miles north of Durango via U.S. Highway 550 and County Road 203. Durango's LaPlata County Airport is only 35 minutes away from the inn. We are close to the 18-hole Dalton Ranch Golf Course and a 20-minute drive to Durango Mountain Resort. Downtown Durango is nearby with its unique shopping, fine dining and great nightlife.

The largest of the cottages, the Cortland Cottage has a woodburning fireplace, king bed, jacuzzi bathtub, and a wraparound porch with a swing and rocking chair.

Open your window and bring in the summertime treat of hearing a running stream. The Red Baron has a walk-in shower and queen bed. There is a large back patio with its own waterfall and a front porch looking on to the rose gardens.

Even though this is the least expensive room in the inn, it has views that are worth a million. This room looks out over the property and on to the east cliffs of the Animas Valley. Queen bed with private bath.
