The Inn at Occidental Bed & Breakfast was a homestead in the 1870's, today it is the site of an exquisite wine country inn. As the only AAA Four Diamond and Mobil Three Star inn north of San Francisco, you can expect your stay at The Inn at Occidental to include the finest of accommodations, food, service and hospitality. Guests enjoy the finest of accommodations, antiques, decor, and a welcome that extends the length of the veranda. Nestled in the heart of Sonoma County is the valley and town of Occidental, a historical stopping point on the railroad between San Francisco and the Northwest. On the hillside, just above the village, a homestead was built in 1877, subsequently becoming the location of the Occidental Water Bottling Company. Many of our guests like to leave with a reminder of their stay. Accordingly, we offer a variety of wonderful gifts, from plush robes to framable photographic prints all from our gift shop.

When you wake in the morning you'll find freshly brewed coffee and a variety of teas available in the living room and in the Wine Cellar dining room. The Inn prides itself on its coffee - Jerry with his innkeepers and friends - met with a local roaster and tasted several blends of coffee until a rich, full-bodied one was found. This coffee, is ground with each new pot; it's available at 7 each morning in the living and dining rooms with the local and San Francisco newspapers; on Sundays we add the New York Times for your reading enjoyment. Many of our guests ask to purchase this great coffee; we put them in touch with our roaster and it's shipped in vacuum tight bags as gifts or to their homes.

We believe that you should breakfast when you feel like it - so we serve in our Wine Cellar dining room with its oversized stone fireplace or on the patio overlooking the garden from 8 to 10 am. Continental breakfast is also available in your room.
