Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There" and its poem "The Jabberwocky" inspired the name of the inn and its rooms and our "nonsense" theme.

We have excellent views of Monterey Bay, our own lush terraced gardens, and a waterfall. Our 7 guest rooms each have private baths, 4 have cozy fireplaces and 3 have jacuzzis for two. Come visit us soon!!

Our largest room, the Borogove is the ultimate indulgence. An extraordinary king bedroom with cozy fireplace, sitting area and private bath with Jacuzzi for two, this spacious room offers a magnificent view of the Monterey Bay.

This large Victorian room is quite romantic with an enormous mahogany claw-foot king bed, an elegantly-tiled fireplace and a Jacuzzi whirlpool bath for two. A pleasant Monterey Bay view also awaits you if you choose to stay in the Mome Rath.

The Brillig
The Brillig is made warm and charming with Craftsman-style decor, a beautiful rolled-oak queen bed, a private bath with a tub and shower and a handsome tiled fireplace. One of our finest Bay View rooms, the Brillig is decorated with hand-painted William Morris style wallpaper and has beautiful turn of the 19th century pocket doors to make up its private bath.

This spacious first-floor room, decorated in hand rolled Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper, has its own secret garden! The Toves also has a sumptuously carved King bed, private bath with Jacuzzi for two and a fire place. A separate dressing room opens out to the garden.
