Welcome to The Jabberwock Bed and Breakfast conveniently located on the Pacific Coast in beautiful Monterey, California. The Jabberwock Bed and Breakfast is only four short blocks above Cannery Row (made famous by author John Steinbeck), the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and an extraordinary walking, jogging and biking path meandering along Monterey Bay.
Other attractions that make the Monterey Peninsula popular the world over include nearby Carmel and the 17-Mile Drive in Pebble Beach. And it's only a 20 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf, the Monterey Conference Center and the historic adobes in Monterey.
Built in 1911, this Arts & Crafts style home has hand made Craftsman and Victorian era tiles and hand rolled Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper design detail. Do come with Alice into the Jabberwock's "Looking-Glass" world, where time runs backwards, things are not always as they appear, and every day is an un-birthday! |

Wonderful B&B with welcoming innkeepers and charming grounds. Evening hors d'oeuvres were filling and wine was good. Breakfast was a delicious egg/cheese souffle with corn salsa. Jabberwock juice was also very tasty! Plenty of games and puzzles available to pass the time. Would definitely visit again.

We've stayed twice, our honeymoon in the romantic, huge (jacuzzi, kitchenette, enormous kingsize bed) Mome Rath and a "budget" stay in the Tulgey Wood. I'd recommend either room based on your budget because although the guest rooms are beautiful, the true draw of the Jabberwock are the common areas. Secret snack refrigerators in the wall (Tum Tum Room), breakfast menus written backward (must be read via a mirror), game and eating rooms with gorgeous views, outdoor walking areas both romantic and refreshing. The owners are as quirky as their property, proud and wonderful and bend-over-backwards helpful. Within walking distance to Cannery Row and the Aquarium. Both adult and kid friendly. Highly, highly recommended.
