The Historic La Jolla Cove Cottage at the Sea B&B of La Jolla, California is the perfect destination for your next getaway. As featured in the San Diego Home and Garden Lifestyle Magazine, this wonderful historic and design class "must see" bed & breakfast inn is located on both the Historic La Jolla Walking Tour and San Diego Home and Garden Tour. Designed in 1923 and built in 1924 by a world traveler from New Zealand, it was the first cottage built on an isolated block just south of the village of La Jolla. It stood alone for many years before many more southern wanderers moved into La Jolla to build their own retreats. La Jolla Cove Cottage has been in the Odell Family since 1957. Our motivation for offering this lovely home as a bed and breakfast is to share the rare beauty and treasure of one of La Jolla's most famous cottages.

Each night, the sun slipping into the horizon can be witnessed from every room in the cottage. On the grassy cliff across from the property, picnickers clap their hands as the sun sets on another day. Yet, from the private balcony and deck, it feels as if you are the only people in the theater. We offer two formal bedrooms. The master has a king bed, a private bath, reading room, and private huge deck facing the sunset. The Captains Room has a queen bed, private bath across the hall, and a private balcony for sunset watching. A small room with twin beds is designed as an overflow room for a party of 6. Your stay in the cottage will be a great and memorable experience. Unique architecture, beautiful gardens, full ocean views, wonderful books, elegant furnishings, and historical artifacts will intrigue the curious guest. Come to our home and make it your own for a bit of heaven.

A full breakfast is served every morning and wine and cheese or beer and juice is served at 4:30 everyday.
