This was the highlight of my vacation throughout the state of California. My cottage was so comforting to come back to at the end of each day's activities. The location is ideal being on it's own private bluff and away from the traffic in Mendincino. Waking and retiring to my own display of the ocean right from my picture window was a treasure in itself. Everyone made me feel right at home. I enjoyed having my morning conversations with them and sharing my previous and present day's adventures. Being an active person,I was pleased to receive a number of brochures from Elk cove prior to my trip.Kayaking in the ocean while exploring caves along the coast was my greatest thrill. You can't go wrong with this enchanted place. At the time of my departure, I even inquired about and viewed their larger suites for my return trip next year.I can't wait!!!

Be prepared for the most incredible scenery, views, gardens and breakfast. A terrific staff, who really make you feel welcome and comfortable. I can't wait to go back and spend a week there.

Spectualar view and romantic setting. For that alone, this B&B is very special.
