Welcome to the Rose Mountain Manor located on five wooded acres in historic Colfax, CA and easily accessed from Interstate 80. Filled with charm and small town atmosphere, the city of Colfax is located in California's Sierra Foothills within a 15-minute drive of Auburn, Grass Valley and Nevada City.
Each guest room overlooks the garden below and the woods beyond, and features a private bath and queen-size bed. Each is individually themed and decorated with antiques and modern furnishings, quilts, fresh flowers, down comforters and plush terry robes.
Afternoon tea with delicate homemade scones and tea breads is served to overnight guests daily at 4 p.m.
High Tea is served Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and is available to the general public with at least 24-hour advance reservations. The three-course high tea includes finger sandwiches, quiche, a seasonal salad or soup, fruit, tea breads, scones and dessert.
Relax and let me pamper you for a day. After breakfast take a walk around the ¼-mile trail on the property, take a nap, sip lemonade in the shade or hot chocolate in front of the fire, read a book, take another nap or play the piano. You can work on a jigsaw puzzle, watch a movie, do some painting or a craft project in the gazebo, have a massage in the comfort of your own room and then lunch at my favorite spot.
