Markham House Bed and Breakfast is known as one of the best places to stay in the Sooke area. It is a tranquil oasis on a 10 acre country estate. Markham House has many of the attributes of a small resort, yet the romance of an intimate B&B.

Only a pleasant ½ hour drive from Victoria, this charming guest house and secluded cottage is very close to hiking and cycling trails including the "Galloping Goose Trail". Be sure to visit nearby spectacular West Coast beaches and marine parks. Enjoy afternoon tea on our patio by the trout pond, or experience one of the fine restaurants in the area which include the famous Sooke Harbour House.

Check In Policy:
Check in is recommended in mid afternoon-however if your travel arrangement require early or late arrival, please let us know and we will do our best to be of service
Check Out Policy:
11:00 a.m is latest check out time to allow us to prepare for the next guests.
Cancellation Policy:
Our policy is 7 days. Reservations cancelled more than 7 days prior to anticipated arrival will not be charged. Within 7 days, 1st night may be charged if the room is not re-rented. Reservations cancelled on the day of arrival and reservations which do not arrive without notice are charged the full amount of the planned stay.
Children: Children Welcome
Children are welcome in Honeysuckle Cottage, sorry not in the adult oriented main house.

Deposit Policy:
Your credit card number is taken to secure your reservation. It is processed only at the time of your departure.
Pets Welcome
We welcome well behaved dogs in Honeysuckle Cottage only. Our elderly dog "Virgil" will either welcome or ignore.
Pets Living At Inn: Yes
Virgil has been with us since 1994. He is a part lab with masterful instincts to find where breakfast is being served. He will take you for a walk on the grounds, but please don't expect him to bring you back.
Smoking: Outside
Smoking is permitted in the open grounds and on the patio. No smoking please in the forest!
