We visited this lodge for the Wiggett photography tour. We completely enjoyed ourselves, and improved our landscape photography dramatically based on what we learned on this trip. The lodge is very comfortable, the food good, the location phenomenal, and the hosts make this a destination to return to. Alan (the co-owner, with his wife) knows the area intimately, and was able to give suggestions that were the basis for our improved photography.

The Aurum lodge was beyond our expectations. Madeleine and Alan are wonderful hosts and are really available to answer our needs. They gave us really good advice for good hiking places. This place is awesome, peaceful and eco responsible. We suggest it for everyone who want to travel differently in an intelligent way.

The view out the window was worth the price of the room. When we needed to change our reservation because of the death of a colleague the innkeepers were very gracious and gave us the only available room(an upgrade) for the same price as our original room.

We have stayed here many times and all seasons. Everytime has been wonderful. The view from the Lodge is spectacular - one of the best in the Rockies. Even after many visits there are still areas we have not explored whether in the Nat'. Park or in David Thompson country. Madeleine and Alan always make us feel welcome and it's wonderful to visit with others from around the world.
