Ambleside Lodge Bed & Breakfast in Canmore, Alberta offers the rustic charm of a wooden lodge nestled in the midst of a spectacular mountain landscape. Breathtaking mountain scenery surrounds you on all sides, with the great outdoors on your doorstep a natural world full of wonders awaits.
Situated in the small Rocky Mountain town of Canmore; a mixture of old and new, with a history dating back to 1883 and the coming of the railroad, a mining community that came alive with the hosting of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games Nordic events. A growing town, Canmore nevertheless retains its charm. Canmore is a renowned centre for many outdoor sporting activities; golf, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking and rafting in the summer and for the winter; ice climbing, Nordic and downhill skiing, snowshoeing, ice walks and dog sledding.
The interior of Ambleside Lodge is predominantly pine and showcases a unique, spectacular fireplace (one of the largest in Canmore) boasting 18 tons of river rock supported by 4 tons of cement. This feature is the centerpiece of a spacious lounge area that is comfortable and cozy, ideal for relaxing in front of the log fire.
