We honeymooned here in October and the layer of snow just made everything more beautiful. Besides the comfortable, cozy atmosphere of the cabin, it is wonderfully located for touring around the Kenai Peninsula. We did day trips to Homer and Seward to hike the glaciers and mountains to return to a toasty and well stocked cabin at night. Loni was very helpful and attentive!

My husband and I went to Alaska for our 10 year anniversary and intended on spending only a couple nights at Escape for Two and the rest of the week in Homer, AK. Bruce and Loni's (the hosts)idea was posted on the net as a rustic and romantic getaway. OMG they beautifully mastered intertwining the two. The cabin on the outside looked like a classic Alaskan hideaway on a private lake. But the inside was embellished with satin-like materials, candles, and rose pedals leading to the upstairs loft-bedroom. May I say ooh-la-la! If that wasn't enough, the hosts provided a fantastic variety of fresh fruits, homemade breads, and gourmet coffee! We painfully said our goodbyes to our dream cabin and headed to Homer, as planned. After unpacking our bags in Homer at a less than average B&B/cabin. We called Loni back and begged for them to let us "come back home". To our delight there were openings for the rest of our nights in AK. To make a long story shorter, we ended up paying for both cabins the rest of our stay, and we didn't regret it ONE LITTLE BIT!! This cabin and the hosts' hospitality was worth every penny. Thank you once again Bruce and Loni, and you will DEFINATELY be seeing us again!

I was searching on line for a place for my wife and I to get away to celebrate our five year anniversary. We really wanted to go to Hawaii; but right now we don't have the money for that kind of trip. While searching I found Escape For Two and decided to book this place for our getaway. This place was awesome! The location is so peaceful, the host was very kind, and the cabin was amazing! Some of the little extras you get with this place is a gas grill on the cabin deck and on the lower deck which is over the lake you get a fire pit (Which they supply the firewood) and a table and chairs to eat out on the lake. The cabin is wired for sound, has a wonderful jetted tub for two, the bed is very comfortable, the goodies they give you for breakfast were just perfect, and you have all that you need in the kitchen for cooking. We liked Escape For Two so much that we are planning on going back in the Fall.

An absolutely wonderful place!! The attention to detail was amazing and we wanted for nothing. They thought of everything. We found it very hard to leave and immediately started planning for another visit in about two years. We would recommend this place to everyone. It was our honeymoon and it was awesome thanks to Bruce and Loni Galloway.

Idyllic location, quiet, peaceful. Very enjoyable = we went to the store and bought some fresh salmon and wine and grilled out each night on the deck [too many mosquitos to eat out but that was okay] - it was wonderful
