Welcome to Big Bear Bed & Breakfast in Anchorage, Alaska. Stay in a log home tastefully decorated with Alaskan art, native crafts, antique furniture and impressive Grizzly & Polar Bear rugs. Hosted by life long Alaskan retired Home Economics Teacher, guests are offered an appetizing full breakfast consisting of Alaskan products and wild berry specialties. Meander past flower beds and rock gardens or relax by the waterfall and pond.

Carol is a Certified Tour Guide and will gladly assist you in planning a memorable Alaskan experience. She is a member of the Anchorage Alaska Bed & Breakfast Association. This lovely accommodation is open year round and is conveniently located two miles from downtown and nine miles from the airport. Our stay at the Big Bear Bed & Breakfast was nothing short of great! The innkeeper's (Carol Ross) hospitality was outstanding in every way. The breakfasts were superb. She served sourdough waffles to die for and a samon quiche that was amazing, among other great dishes. Carol is very knowledgable about the Anchorage area and her tips really helped to make our stay wonderful. she let us know when we booked that we could make the Alaska State Fair at Palmer on our first full day. That was a great idea, as was her last, that we drive up to an overlook on Flattop to see the views. We say moose in the wild, a great overlook of Anchorage, and shining in the distance was Mount McKinley! This was our best B&B experience in about 18 years of travel aorund the country and in the U.K.! We hope to return in a couple of years!
