Welcome to Longing For Home Bed and Breakfast located in Rogersville, Alabama in the midst of the Tennessee Valley just one hour west of Huntsville, Alabama and two hours from Birmingham, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee. Set peacefully on fifteen (15) wooded acres, transected by beautiful Weaver Branch Creek, this 1880's style farmhouse is a wonderful romantic hideaway, a serene weekend getaway or vacation destination for anyone looking to enjoy the renewed “State of Mind, Place of Grace and Way of Life”* of ages past that is Longing for Home.
With recent renovations, this Tennessee Valley bed and breakfast features three spacious guest rooms: Sunshine Daydreams, Country Graces and Simple Pleasures each designed to foster a peaceful state of mind, a quiet place of grace and a slower pace of life. For those with an affinity for the outdoors, "The Sleeping Porch", provides a view of the stars at night and the chance to wake to the music of nature that encompasses this charming country setting. Each of our guest rooms has its own private bath with washstand-style sinks set atop marble vanity counters combined with all the amenities needed to ensure a memorable stay. While we are your hosts you will awake each morning to the aroma of a large "stick to your ribs" farm breakfast. Menus include plenty of coffee, teas, eggs, sausage, breakfast casseroles, biscuits, fresh fruit, French toast, cereals, specialty breads, and more. Plan to bring an appetite!!
Throughout your visit, the wooded grounds of Longing for Home provide many unique opportunities. There are walking trails where you can enjoy the serenity of nature while strolling through open pastures and forest shaded paths along the gurgling water of Weaver Branch. There is a large gazebo, planted in the midst of our lower pasture and surrounded by wildflowers which provides you a cozy and comfortable spot to enjoy an afternoon. Ample wood decks offer numerous places to unwind among clusters of brilliant day lilies and stately magnolia trees. The sparkling waters of our large swimming pool are a perfect choice for exercise and recreation.

Check In Policy: |
Check-in begins at 3:00 pm. For arrivals before 3:00 pm, accommodations can be made for parking and bag drop-off with advance notice. Please notify us if you plan to arrive after 5:00 pm. Special arrangements must be made for check-ins after midnight.

Checkout is 11:00 am.

Cancellation Policy: |
Cancellations made ten (10) or more days prior to your reservation will be subject to a $25 processing fee. Cancellations made within nine (9) days of your reservation will be charged 50% of the room rate for each day cancelled. "No-shows" and same day cancellations will be charged at 100% of the room rate for all dates canceled. Holidays and Special Events are included. |

We are unable to accommodate inside pets. There is a comfortable kennel available outside to accommodate your pets. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets while walking the grounds. |

For the safety and comfort of all of our guests, no smoking is allowed in the rooms, on the room decks, or inside the Inn. Smoking on the property is limited to a designated first floor outside area. Any evidence of violation of the non-smoking policy will result in a minimum $200 cleaning fee. |
