Mountain Laurel Inn Bed & Breakfast offers a simply elegant setting on Lookout Mountain near the historic town of Mentone, Alabama. Inspiring views abound from our bed and breakfast inn nestled in the woods, on the canyon below DeSoto Falls. The main house offers a beautiful view of the inspiring woods that can be enjoyed through the full size windows or in the rocking chairs on the porch. A separate guest house features beautifully decorated rooms, each with private entrance and bath, TV with VCR/DVD, heat and air. Each room has a theme to reflect the setting: Bridal, Deer, Wildflower, Ski and Apartment/Loft. A full breakfast is served in the main house each morning. The Gathering Place allows guests a common area with a refrigerator, snacks, games and an extensive DVD/Video library.

Our visit to the Mountain Laurel Inn was a very pleasant experience. We especially enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, our relaxing walk to Desoto Falls, and the delicious breakfasts we were served by the friendly innkeeper. The room was very comfortable and clean. The early morning hot coffee delivery was a nice treat. We spent some time hanging out in the community room, visiting the town, and driving around and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We look forward to a return visit, and are hopeful we'll be served the decadant french toast once again!

I picked this site from the internet to celebrate my wife's birthday. When we arrived "Lickity" greeted us and immediately we felt at home. Our room with full bath opened onto the porch where we enjoyed sitting each evening. We especially enjoyed the quiet evenings and short walks through the woods to the bluff overlooking DeSoto Falls. The food was awesome and there was plenty of it. Coffee was at my door at 7 AM each morning and that really pleased me since I am an early riser. Sarah made everthing special. We will definitely go back.

It was so relaxing and refreshing to be in the woods at Mountain Laurel Inn. Sarah has thought of everything to make visitors comfortable, and she prepared the most delicious breakfast both mornings!

Everything was perfect. There is no doult that every effort was made to make us feel like we were at home. We were amazed at the attention payed to all the little details that you don't get with hotels. We will be going back in the future.

My husband and I are BnB veterans. We took another couple who were "first timers" to Mountain Laurel, and the reaction from them, reminded us of how we felt our first time at a Bed and Breakfast. Being with them and Sarah's place was relaxing and oh, so enjoyable. Everyone needs to BnB...Once you do you won't want to stay anywhere else. Perfectly Spoiled.

Once again we were blessed by having stayed there. The peace of the place is outstanding. Sarah and her dog Baxter are super. I would recommend this place to anyone who is need of some refreshing.
