The Wedgewood Blue Crenshaw House Bed & Breakfast nestles among giant oak and pecan trees on an acre site formerly inhabited by Creek Indians in Auburn, Alabama. Built by Auburn University Professor Bolling Hall Crenshaw, this graceful Victorian structure features bay windows and delicate gingerbread trim. Rich architectural details, tasteful period décor, and comfortable antiques create a peaceful atmosphere for guests.
On the National Register Of Historic Places, guest rooms in this 115 year old main house feature 12 foot vaulted ceilings. Gleaming porcelain, brass, and richly carved mantles provide a perfect setting for an appealing collection of antique furniture. Breakfast is served as to all guests in the main house "Tiger Room".
The carriage house building is a cozy recent addition to the original structure in a garden setting behind the main house. This quite retreat has guest units with kitchenettes including full size refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and toasters. Custom made work desks with overhead lighting, eye level outlets, and adjustable office chairs make these rooms work friendly and ideal for longer term stays. |
