Amish Christmas Traditions
Take a step back in time as you experience the simple pleasures and family togetherness of Christmas in Ohio's Amish Country. Check-in Friday & unwind. Saturday will be free during the day to do some Christmas shopping or pick up some baked goods and chocolates for Thanksgiving. Saturday afternoon you will depart on a narrated tour to learn about Amish Christmas traditions. Visit an Amish lady who makes and sells handmade candles. Each guest will receive a Christmas candle. Have you ever wondered where the Amish shop for Christmas? You’ll stop at one of the locally owned country stores where many of the Amish do their Christmas shopping. End the afternoon with a Hearty Christmas Meal in an Amish home ~ The meal will consist of a Seven Layer Salad, Homemade Bread, Turkey, Ham, Sweet Potato Casserole, Noodles & Dressing! For dessert we will enjoy a Fruit Cobbler and Cherry-Cheese Cake along with a special holiday punch and coffee. A special gift awaits you here. We'll take you on an imaginary journey to California Wine Country o the annual wine-tasting festival. Suddenly the body of local vineyard owner, Barry Underwood, is found hidden beneath his wine cellar. Barry has been missing for 6 long years, but with the discovery of his body comes a wealth of new clues to solve the murder.

This Father's Day weekend Garden Gate Get-A-Way B&B presents a night of music by moonlight and a picnic in our gardens! Check-in on Friday and unwind at our evening campfire. Saturday evening from 7-9 p.m. Bud Preston will appear in our gardens to play his intoxicating acoustic guitar sounds. Bud has been playing publicly for several years and was nominated for a Grammy in 2007. He combines classical & rock music, has written a series of songs about the Erie Canal, and plays both original and well-known music.
