Lavender Hill has been in continuous operation for over 20 years. It was originally built in 1770, a portion of which was a log cabin! The current innkeepers have maintained a working farm while offering three guest rooms to the traveling public.

The first floor has a parlor, a dining room, a spacious kitchen, a laundry room, a large den or recreation room, a master bedroom, a bathroom and another bedroom/office.

The second floor has three spacious guest rooms, each with a private bath. One of the guest rooms is a family suite with a second bedroom adjoining.

A barn, an insulated workshop and greenhouse, and 3 additional outbuildings enhance the farm.

Inn guests can fish, swim in the stream, or walk the established trails to watch birds or look for wildflowers. A list is available of wildflowers and birds that have been observed from the farm. Lavender Hill Farm is on 15 +/- acres with stream frontage on scenic Kerrs Creek. The views from the elevated pastures of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Alleghany Mountains are spectacular. Lexington is also the home of the Virginia Horse Center, Virginia’s premier equestrian center.
